Attached to back of image and typed in black ink - note about Beverly Sills and the CCOHA ' Metropolitan Opera Star Beverly Sills, who appeared in Giuseppe Verdi's 'Aida' in 1960. In the lower right corned of the photo can be seen the name 'Williams.' This building is part of the livery stable area purchased in 1878 by the Gilpin County Opera Association, which became the site for the Central City Opera House. Miss Sills return to Central City was a particularly significant event, since she herself was a singer in the young talent apprentice program of the Central City Opera Association before she became on of the world's foremost operatic sopranos.' ; photograph, 8 in x 10 in , mount 10 in x 11 in
