Anthony Graves was awarded the 2009 Community Service Award by the University of Denver's Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Denver's Founders Day celebration in Denver, Colorado, on March 5, 2009. Graves graduated from DU in 2004 with an International Masters of Business Administration. He is active in the community, serving at the Gilliam Youth Services Center and donating to the Denver Rescue Mission.

Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat spoke at the University of Denver Nov. 3, 2009, about his plans for his city. He told the capacity crowd that he wants to increase tourism to his city. His speech was recorded and put into a one-hour Rocky Mountain PBS Special that aired on Dec. 27, 2009.
