Biography
Arlen Ambrose was born in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of Aubrey and Harriett Hausman Ambrose. He graduated from CU in 1959 and from Georgetown Law School. He was a partner in two law firms. Arlen Ambrose was a founding member of Temple Sinai in 1962 and served as the synagogue's archivist. He was also a past-president of the Denver Institue of Jewish Studies and founding president of the Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society.

Image shows the aftermath of the June 1921 flood on Union Avenue. The man stading at the far left holding a shove is Mendel "Emanuel" Ambrus. His store is in the light colored building with the "Wholesale" sign near the top. Men, mules, and horses are clearing Union Avenue.
