Biography
Prominant oil and gas man, Sheldon Baren, worked on the Manhattan Atomic Bomb Project in Los Alamos, New Mexico. His father Adolph Baren founded Okmar oil company in Marietta, Georgia in the 1920s. Sheldon moved to Denver in the 1960s and founded the Berenergy Company in 1978. The company focused on oil development and production in eastern Colorado. He was a major philanthropist in Jewish education. He was born and raised in Marietta, Ohio and died in Denver in 1996.

Abstract
This folder contains the paperwork and related correspondences of the Sheldon K. Beren trust. This trust was established to fund the congregation Zera Abraham monthly after Beren's death in 1996. Contained in this folder is the documentation establishing the congregation's bank account, correspondence with the attorneys managing the estate (note that most of these letters at one point contained a check as checks were sent to the congregation monthly via mail), receipt and refunding...
