Abstract
Isaac Victor, a violinist from Russia who was a patient at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS), plays the violin. He was admitted for the first time in 1914 and was re-admitted in 1922 where he died. His patient numbers were 2859, 3912, 4537, and 6133 and this portrait was found inside his violin case. The JCRS was a sanatorium for tuberculosis patients that was founded in 1904 by a group of immigrant Jewish workingmen along with the support of several leading physicians and...
