Abstract Initially known as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Denver Metropolitan Affiliate, the organization was incorporated in Colorado May 4, 1992, and appears to have been accepted as a chapter of the national organization in 1994. In 2007 the name was changed to The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Denver Metropolitan Affiliate.
