Abstract

Molly Newman discusses her experience in the theater world in Colorado. Newman served as "Playwright in Residence" at the Denver Center Theater Company after training as an actress at the University of Denver. Newman was the author of "Quilters" based on oral histories depicting the life stories of women in Colorado. Newman discusses her work transforming these oral histories into the written play.

This oral history is part of a series recorded in the mid 1970s by Dorothy Trevino regarding the early history and accounts of the settlers of Mancos, Colorado. This is the life of O.E. Noland as read by his daughter, Callie Alexander, as well as an oral history interview of Hilda Dee Sheek-Keener, along with Neil Lewis and Mattie Floston, conducted by Dorothy Trevino.
