Abstract Irene Miller (Mrs. Azriel) Stein was a professional artist well into her 90s. She was the daughter of Anna and Robert Lazar Miller, both pioneers of Denver's Jewish community. In 1921 she married Azriel Stein, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvaina native and they had a son Stanley. Azriel Stein founded, owned, and operated Pencol Drug Store on the corner of Pennsylvania Street and Colfax Avenue in Denver. Abstract Lillian Fogel Rubin was born in Denver, Colorado on August 17, 1922 to parents who came from Maczyv, Poland through Ellis Island in 1904. Her parents and aunts and uncles were Orthodox Jews. Abstract Russian immigrants, Leon and Ella Kaplan Sobol, came from Minnesota to Denver in the early 1900s. The couple had three sons: Chester, Harry, and David, all born in Denver. In 1908, Ella Sobol signed a lease with Harris Pellish to use his property at 2715 West Colfax for a theatre until 1910.
